Trying my hand at something new

I admit, after years of knitting scarves I am finally branching out and trying new things. Just about every time I see something I think I can do I am trying something new. This new thing is for someone new. Talking in circles and riddles? You bet. I am making caps for newborns. I found the simple free pattern on line and it is a case of knitting a row and pearling a row for eight inches and then sewing it together. It is really simple although I must say the pattern says the caps are for preemies but I am thinking they are too big for preemies and may be just right for newborns and maybe even a few months old. So far I have knitted one and am working on another. The skein of yarn I have will probably allow for three or four caps. I hope by December to have at least two done which I will add to my annual donation to the hospital. More on that soon.
